Non-Rhythmic Music: Two Types
Two types of non-rhythmic music demonstrated by Mary Stevens. One type is a very open, free, flowing, calming, soothing feel that is appropriate for end-of-life situations or situations where a patient is very relaxed. The other is a more assertive style, appropriate for a patient who is very agitated, in pain, angry, or frustrated who is showing lots of body movement or vocalizations to express their discomfort.
